Born in Helsingør, Denmark 1971.
Have called the breathtaking Lofoten Islands in Northern Norway my home for the last 20 years.
Have a special eye for intricate details and abstract scenes in nature.
By living in Lofoten, were the wild, step mountains meet the sea, i find my inspiration in the dramatic interplay of light and the stunning scenery we are privileged to live in. The change of seasons, the soft golden light of the Midnightsun, the crispy clear Polar nights, the blue hour, the dancing Northern Light, the pastell colors of the winter light, they all affects and reflects in these ephemeral abstract sandpatterns. The beaches of Lofoten are spectacular and have a huge variety in these abstract patterns. Sometimes created by the playful interaction of sand, water and wind. And sometimes made by the stormy and harsh conditions that often occur here. I love wandering these beautiful and stunning beaches with my camera. In any kind of weather, i try to capture the essence in these ephemeral abstract patterns. Found in between the tides, and very often only to be found in the matter of seconds, before the next wave sweeps them away again never to be found again.
